The PWA projects photographs collection is comprised of 136 black-and-white photographs documenting the construction of the Oregon State Library and Oregon State Capitol building in 1937 and 1938. The PWA (Public Works Administration) was a New Deal-era program that funded the construction of numerous Oregon public facilities, including the Oregon State Library and Capitol Building in Salem, the city hall in Canby, an armory in Klamath Falls, and several coastal bridges. Frank I. Jones, a photographer based in Portland, created the photographs. The collection is unprocessed.
